Get Your Tickets to the 2014 Great American Beer Festival

Courtesy of the Brewers AssociationCraft beer fans will converge with craft brewery representatives from around the world in early October during the world’s largest  U.S. beer festival and competition at the 33rd annual Great American Beer Festival (GABF) . An expected 49,000 attendees will have the opportunity to sample almost 3,000 beers from approximately 700 U.S. breweries during this three day event. The festival takes place at the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver, Colorado, from Thursday, October 2, through Saturday, October 4 with the following schedule:

  • Thursday, October 2: 5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • Friday, October 3: 5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 4*: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • *Brewers Association and American Homebrewers Association members-only session
  • Saturday, October 4: 5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Tickets to this event go on sale this week, with a pre-sale today for current members of the American Homebrewers Association as well as Brewers Association. Members will be able to purchase tickets for $75 each on Tuesday, July 29, at 10 am MDT (12 PM EDT /11 AM CDT, 9 AM PDT) by using a special purchase code — so check your inbox! The October 4th Members-Only Session tickets are $65 each, with a two ticket limit per AHA or BA member number.

General Session tickets which are $80 will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, July 30, at 10 am MDT (12 PM EDT /11 AM CDT, 9 AM PDT).

All sessions include:

  • Commemorative tasting cup
  • One-ounce samples of your choice of more than 3,000 beers
  • Festival guide and free app to help attendees navigate the festival hall
  • Access to attend more than 30 educational seminars total (all sessions combined) focused on beer appreciation

Due to limited availability, GABF General Session ticket sales are limited to four tickets per session per ticket buyer.

The GABF Competition judging will take place during this event, with over 1400 breweries competing in 90 beer style categories.  Winners will be announced in a special awards ceremony on Saturday, October 4, after competition results are compiled and medals are announced.

Beer and food pairings will take place throughout the festival at various locations including the Farm to Table Pavilion which features 14 different chefs and craft brewers from across the country serving dishes paired with special beers. A special ticket package is $140 for either Thursday, October 2 or Friday, October 3, from 5:30 – 9 pm. The package includes same-day GABF session and must be purchased here.

The American Cheese Society will again host a tasting area within the festival hall featuring sample cheeses from American artisan producers. The Brewpub Pavilion will also feature small bites for purchase and to enjoy with beers from various brewpubs throughout the U.S.
